Teachers’ training

If Maria Montessori were alive today, how would she use technology in the classroom, with children and teachers, without betraying the principles of her methodology? In this training, we will try to answer this question practically: through real activities, designed by experts in both fields & participation of teachers, aiming to be loyal to the basic principles of both Montessori and Creative Computing.

This page facilitates the enrolment process for a fifteen-hour online asynchronous MonTech training (10 hours course + 5 hours implementation) that blends cutting-edge technologies with the time-tested Montessori method.

You can start this course whenever you like after enrolling. The training materials (videos, tutorials, and readings) are organised in five weeks, but feel free to explore these resources at your own pace and revisit them whenever you need.

Week 1: The MonTech Project & the MonTech Guide Workshops Structure
Week 2: Engaging pupils through Storytelling and Discovering Scratch
Week 3: Journal Reflection and Computational Thinking Concepts
Week 4: Feedback Power and Music & Art with Scratch and Makey Makey
Week 5: Final Review, Course Certification requirements and STEAM Workshops

Furthermore, by completing the tasks by the 5th of December, you will get an official certificate from the University of Girona. To certify the course, you will need to try some of the course workshops in your classroom, and reflect on this teaching and learning experience.
